Unite to Save Lower Decks!
On Friday, April 12th 2024 a Variety article shocked Star Trek fans by announcing rather unceremoniously that Star Trek Lower Decks would be cancelled after it's upcoming fifth season. For many fans who were hoping Lower Decks could be the Star Trek equivalent of "The Simpsons" (currently airing it's 35th season!), this was devastating news.
The following statement was posted by Mike McMahan and Alex Kurtzman:

A Rallying Cry?
Jack Quaid (the voice of Lt. Jg. Bradward Boimler) posted a statement on his Instagram, and that post is what gave this campaign its rallying cry:
Jack Quaid's Statement
![Hello Lower Deckers. I’m so sad to announce that Paramount Plus won’t be moving forward with more seasons of Lower Decks. I can’t begin to tell you what an honor it’s been to be a part of this show and the Star Trek universe at large. I am unbelievably grateful for 5 awesome seasons with this wonderful family. I want to thank each and every person who put so much of their hard work and talent into every episode. You are AMAZING. The good news is that everyone who makes Lower Decks LOVES making Lower Decks. I could play Boimler for 17 more seasons. No joke. I’m serious. I love that purple-haired nerd. Hopefully we find a new home, but until then please look forward to an amazing season five (airing this fall). LLAP🖖❤️](images/jack-quaid-statement.jpg)
And what is that rallying cry?
17 Seasons and a Moopsy!
Live long and prosper.
